If you’d like to feel calm and in control around alcohol again, this gentle self-hypnosis MP3 from Sharon Shinwell can help. Designed to ease cravings, quiet the urge to binge, and rebuild confidence, it guides your mind toward a healthier, more balanced relationship with drinking.
You’ll also receive a supportive companion eBook with practical tips and mindset tools to help you stay motivated between listening sessions.
🟩 How It Helps
This self-hypnosis audio helps you retrain your subconscious response to stress, social pressure, and habit triggers that can lead to over-drinking. As you listen, calming imagery and positive suggestions encourage new ways of thinking and behaving—without guilt or self-criticism.
Over time, you’ll find yourself feeling calmer around alcohol, better able to pause before you pour, and more confident saying no when you’ve had enough. Each session builds on the last, gently strengthening your self-control and sense of balance.
The companion eBook reinforces your progress with realistic strategies and short mindset exercises. You’ll learn how to manage cravings, deal with triggers, and enjoy social situations with ease—all while feeling proud of your growing control.

Control Your Drinking & Reduce Alcohol : Self-Hypnosis MP3
If you can consciously let go and relax, there is every chance that hypnotherapy will help with your resolve to stay sober, resist that first drink or, at the very least, help to reduce the amount you drink. If letting go is hard for you, it may take longer, but only 1% of the population does not respond to hypnotherapy so there is every chance it may work for you.
Face-to-face hypnotherapy can be expensive and that is why we have produced a generic CD/download to help with problematic drinking.
As far as the NHS is concerned I wonder if they are a little resistant to accept that different approaches work for different people; is their perspective too narrow?
Could it be that unless a therapy can be proven to be cost-effective across the board, it won’t be considered?
Could it be that ‘alternative’ or ‘complementary’ options are just not part of the health-service remit?
