I purchased this Mp3 for my mum as she began to suffer from severe panic attacks which then lead on to depression. My mum was so independant and confident but due to certain worries in her life she began to suffer from panic attacks. They started off very mild at first but as her worry progressed they became very severe. They totally changed my mum into the complete opposite of who she was, mum could not be left alone, she needed constant reassurance and lost all of her self control, she had to give up work for a short time as she could not cope with the day to day things in life. It turned our world upside down.Seeing your own mum in such despair is heartbreaking.
Along side professional help i felt that there must be something more that could be done, we were the ones living with it day in and day out, something needed to be done that medication could not do. I had done quiet a lot of research when looking for additonal help and alot of people i had spoken with had suggested hypnosis and self help recordings. I came across this one in particular and from reading the reviews it seemed quite positive.Mum used the recording as instructed. She listentend to it everyday for one week (more if needed) after one week mum started to notice the difference, she began to be able to train her brain into dealing with the signs of a panic attack, and uing the coping strategies when having one. The breathing techniques were especially useful. The voice on the tape is not one that you get fed up or irritated with, you have a confidence in person speaking that they know what they are talking about. Mum has made a full recovery now and is 100% back to the way she was. I've got my mum back. Everyone is different but this worked for my my mum, i would recommend this to anyone,suffering with mild or severe panic attacks, even just to give it a try. It takes some getting used to and patience in listening to it everyday but the rewards are well worth it. Good Luck!

The CD arrived on time. It was for a 14 year old who has been suffering from panic attacks for at least two years following long-term bullying. When he first listened to the content he indicated that he thought it was very helpful (fantastic) and he felt more assured. This person also has phobias, one being not to use lifts and we have failed to conquer the fear. A few days later, he actually made a decision to go in the lift and has done so a few times since. He started off looking a little up tight when entering the lift, but is relaxing more and more, as the panic has not returned.
I think the opening of the recording explaining what a panic attack is (he thought his life was in danger each time it happened) helped to clarify it was not life threatening but just uncomfortable and would pass. I cannot recommend the CD enough for any age. The narrator's voice is also soothing and helps him relax and the toolbox of actions look to be working.
I am hoping it will help him to deal with other things, as I feel it was the fear of the pains and what they might mean that worried him most. He used to have great difficulty in sleeping because of the attacks and now I don't mind if he falls asleep on some occasions when the CD is on even if he does not finish the process. He can listen to all of it another time as well, but is clearly benefiting in peaceful sleep for both of us! I shall be looking at anything from this supplier and the narrator on phobias in a while.

I have recently started suffering from panic attacks and anxiety folllowing a bout of severe depression. I was given a short course of medication and started to worry that I would never be able to manage without it. I am in the second month of two months absence from work and before listening to this hypnosis, I thought I would never return. I am now hopeful that I will and I am able to control any attack quite sucessfully. I am also managing without any form of medication.
I was very sceptical, but advise anyone to try it, and with any luck it will help you, £10.00 is such a small price to pay to find out if it will, so its well worth a try.
I was willing to pay £40.00 a session for 50 minutes of private counselling but find now that I can just put my recording on whenever I want and reinforce all the relaxation tecniques and utilise the tools it offers. Give it a try, however terrible you feel, I am sure it will help.
